Magical Landscapes

Magical Landscapes

Mia believes in bringing a bit of magic to outdoor environments intended for children by incorporating a wealth of experiences and opportunities for discovery within her schemes. Able bodied or not, she sees children foremost as children and recognise the importance of peer relationships for the development of every child. Whilst recognising the wide spectrum of disabilities and special needs that are prevalent today, the aim of her designs is to downplay differing abilities and instead highlight the similarities between children, encouraging them to interact with one another providing opportunities for meaningful peer interactions.

Working closely with schools, care providers and local authorities Mia takes great care in learning about her clients’ needs and desires in order to translate these into engaging and stimulating outdoor spaces to be enjoyed by all ages and abilities. Mia sees herself foremost as translators and facilitators helping her clients maximise the use and benefits of the external areas available to them.
